What was revealed from our latest inspections:

The school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners.

The school’s mission and vision statement involved the whole community and recognises that ‘everybody is made in the image of God’ and there is a commitment to ‘working collaboratively with families and the community.’

Case studies clearly show how families in need have been helped to ensure that pupils are regularly in school;

consequently, attendance has traditionally been above the national average and progress, even for the most vulnerable groups, is at least good.

St Stephen’s Christian vision and its associated values underpin all aspects of the daily school experience. This has a significant, positive impact on pupils’ development and wellbeing, and their ability to live life in all its fullness

Ofsted

Our latest Ofsted inspection, carried out in May 2019 recognised that - The provision for pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is effective. Pupils are well prepared for their future lives.

Early years provision is good. Children make strong progress in all areas of learning. They enjoy a wide range of stimulating activities that promote their learning and development well.

Pupils are respectful, polite and well mannered. Their behaviour is good. Pupils know what is expected of them in terms of the school’s rules

Pupils learn in a safe, happy and caring environment. They know how to keep themselves safe in a range of situations, including when using the internet
