Governors Committee

Governors work in partnership with the  Head teacher and school staff to promote high standards and to drive the strategic direction of the school.

The Governing Body consists of 12 members. They are:

• Two parent governors - elected by the parents

• One LA governor – appointed by the London Borough of Lambeth

• One staff governor - elected by school staff

• One Head teacher - Appointed by virtue of position

• Seven foundation governors - two appointed by the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education and four appointed by the Parochial Church Council of St Stephen’s South Lambeth. One Holder will be the principal officiating minister of the ecclesiastical parish of St Stephen’s South Lambeth (foundation governor ex officio).

The full Governing Body meets at least 3 times a year with termly business and strategy meetings.  In addition, the Governing Body delegates certain responsibilities to our Achievement and Partnership Committee, our Resources Committee and our Pay Committee.
