Portuguese Day

FUN DAY FOR ALL At St stEPHEN’S 

The celebration  of  the  Portuguese Day will be marked by: 

• Taking part in traditional folk dancing , ‘Rancho’
• Learning Portuguese songs and greetings
• Learning about Portuguese artists & painters , history of Portugal & its popularity as a holiday resort, traditions and culture and of course….FOOTBALL! Ronaldo! 

A little taste of Portuguese food will be provided by, ‘The Three Lions’

We also have Mrs Lopes who will be teaching fun Portuguese language lessons with all the children across all classes!

We want to publish lots of photos, videos and learning from the children in our newsletter and on our school Twitter @ststephensSW8 and Instagram account ststephensceprimary_sw8 (those with parental permission only)

Children and staff will wear ‘red and green ‘ - the colours of Portugal. Children are welcome to wear traditional Portuguese clothing.

We warmly welcome contribution from parents/carers, particularly our            Portuguese families, if you wish to share or support in any way. Please contact the school office.
